Course Overview
The Philosophies of Law and Legal Drafting course explores the foundational theories that shape legal systems and their practical application through legal writing and drafting. Participants will engage with major schools of legal philosophy such as natural law, legal positivism, and critical legal studies to understand how different legal theories influence legislation, judicial interpretation, and legal reasoning. The course also emphasizes the development of practical skills in drafting clear, precise, and effective legal documents, including statutes, contracts, and legal opinions. This dual focus enables students to connect theoretical perspectives with real-world legal practice.
